Stella Yeung, a Hong Kong native began painting and ballet at the early age of five. With a deep-seated passion towards the both, however, painful decision had to be made during primary school years as Stella's mother forced her to drop one of the activities to concentrate on academic studies. Always bearing this regret, Stella had devoted fully towards painting ever since.

Stella
's talent was first recognized at the age of 13, when she won a first prize in a drawing competition as advertised in a local children magazine. The confidence boost gained has further Stella's ambition to pursue a profession in painting in the international arena. With this in mind, Stella went study abroad in the United States after 16 and was eventually admitted to the University of California, Berkeley to continue her study in Fine Art.

In college years, Stella had been constantly exposed to art history studies and theater art from ancient to contemporary period. During the time, Stella was particularly inspired by the impressionist painter, Edgar Degas, a master renowned in drawing ballerina. Heavily influenced by Degas, Stella developed her artistic sense by blending her interests in impressionism, costume design, vintage illustration and Art Nouveau as well as her childhood favorite, Manga and Disney's Stories in her artwork.

To date, Stella's art portfolio comprises mainly of paintings that characterize her artistic style, beliefs as well as memories. Stella
's childhood dream to become a ballerina, her experience and inspirations become the soul of her artwork and it is this spirit that Stella believes her work can connect with audience through an inaudible medium while, on the other hand leaving her tiny footprints in the big big world.
